Staffing Solutions Organization LLC to Sponsor Junior Achievement Program at Albany-Area Middle Schools

Staffing Solutions Organization (SS0) LLC based in downtown Albany is sponsoring and leading Junior Achievement (JA) Global Marketplace events at local middle schools the weeks of June 3-7, 2019 and June 10-14, 2019 in efforts to inform and inspire area students to succeed in a global economy. JA is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. Junior Achievement's programs—in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy—ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century. 

Sessions will cover a wide range of topics including Business, Culture, and the Customer, Global Trade and Workforce, as well as how the next generation will integrate into a rapidly changing global economy. Students will participate in programs aimed at increasing global marketplace literacy and engagement, as well as hear personal stories from the SSO team. These programs are designed to give young people a base understanding of how these topics relate to the “real” world rather than abstract economic systems that are difficult to relate to on an individual level, as well as encourage them to engage early and often with the ideas and concepts that will shape the global marketplace they will soon enter.
